CTA offers both a Diploma and an Associate Specialized Business Degree in this field. Both program options are offered at all CTA campuses: Pittsburgh & Lower Burrell.
Health Insurance Claims Examiner/Medical Biller – Diploma Program
This program is ideal for students interested in getting into the workforce in the shortest time possible. Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level positions as Health Claims Examiners/Medical Billers in medical and dental offices, hospitals, insurance companies and other healthcare facilities.
Day Schedule: Can be completed in 10.5 months*
Evening Schedule: Can be completed in 12.5 months*
Advanced Medical Coder/Medical Biller – Associate Specialized Business Degree
The advanced program is designed for students interested in pursuing certification as a Medical Coder/Medical Biller. Earning advanced credentials, like an Associate Specialized Business Degree and national certification, can mean higher earning potential and increased job opportunities. After gaining your NCICS, you can look forward to your next goal of achieving the CPC accreditation.
Having performed a wide variety of billing and processing tasks that encompass specific concentrations, graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as Advanced Medical Coders/Billers.
The Associate Specialized Business Degree program can be completed in 17.5 Months*.
