You can choose to pursue either a Diploma or Associate in Specialized Technology Degree.
Medical Assistant – Diploma
The diploma program is ideal for individuals interested in getting into the workforce in the shortest amount of time. Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level positions in a hospital, clinic, doctor’s office or health care facility.
Day Schedule: Can be completed in 8 months*
Evening Schedule: Can be completed in 10 months*
Medical Assistant Comprehensive – Associate Specialized Technology Degree
Employers recognize an Associate Specialized Technology Degree as advanced training. Completing the Associate Specialized Technology Degree program can open doors to increased employment opportunities and can prepare you for further training/career advancement down the line. Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level positions in a hospital, clinic, doctor’s office, pharmacy, chiropractic office, ophthalmic office, podiatric office or health care facility.
The Associate Specialized Technology Degree program can be completed in 15 months*.
Upon graduation of either program, students are eligible to sit for the NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) exam.

Real World Training – Professional Externship
Medical Assisting students at CTA have the opportunity to learn directly on-the-job during an externship in a real healthcare environment. Students gain hands-on, real-world experience working alongside doctors and other healthcare professional as well as patients.
Externships can be a great way to get a feel for your new career and make helpful industry connections before you graduate.
