This Thermo-Therapy course will provide the student with the tools to safely and effectively give a hot stone and a hot oil massage. Thermotherapy (heat therapy) has been used by many cultures for centuries. Heat increases relaxation, immunity, and local blood flow. It decreases tension in the muscles and softens the superficial fascia. The following topics will be addressed: History of Hot Stone Massage, Types of Stones and their Uses, Risks of Offering Hot Stone Massage, How to appropriately clean your hot stones.
