Our experienced Career Services staff will not only use industry contacts to assist in your job search, but will help you write your resume, develop networking techniques, and teach you how to successfully complete an interview.

Allied Health Externship Coordinator
April Stone, CCHT, is CTA’s Allied Health Externship Coordinator overseeing and placing students at externship sites as Phlebotomy Technicians, Medical Assistants, and Medical Billing and Coding Specialists. She assures the activities, job training opportunities, and supervision provided to students in the clinical setting are appropriate as prescribed in the respective allied health program(s). Additionally, Mrs. Stone assists the Career Services department working with graduates seeking professional employment. She is also an instructor for students in the Phlebotomy, Medical Billing and Coding, and Medical Assistant programs.
Placement Coordinator, Medical Assistant Instructor
Ms. Jennifer Allen has been in the medical profession for over 15 years. She spent 13 years working as a Medical Assistant prior to joining Career Training Academy. Ms. Allen is a Medical Assistant Instructor, NCMA Test Prep Instructor, Placement Coordinator, and NCMA Test Coordinator. Jennifer says: “I am very proud of what I have accomplished at Career Training Academy, my students are passing their state certifications, they are getting great jobs and they are enjoying their new career.” As the Placement Coordinator, Ms. Allen maintains recruiting relationships with businesses, non-profits and other organizations and is proactive with regard to furthering CTA student career outcomes for all programs.
Dental Assistant Program, Externship Coordinator
Lori Evans, EFDA, is CTA’s Dental Assistant program Externship Coordinator overseeing and placing students at externship sites as Dental Assistants. Ms. Evans assures the activities, job training opportunities, and supervision provided to students in the clinical setting provide a broad background in the fundamentals of EFDA standards, as well as current dental office practice. She assures the student is placed in an Externship that will provide appropriate experience and enhance classroom learning.
